A training on mushroom farming technology has been completed for farmers of Masta Rural Municipality under the Food Security Improvement, Sustainable Livelihoods and Women Empowerment Project, conducted in collaboration with Sahara Nepal Bajhang and Swallows of Finland.
A 1-day training was conducted at 3 different locations with the active participation of farmers from Masta Rural Municipality Ward No. 3 to 7. The training covered basic mushroom farming technology, seed production, management, disease and pest control, and market promotion.

The participating farmers have expressed their enthusiasm for mushroom farming and have committed to practically implementing the learned technologies. After the training, the farmers have also made plans to start mushroom farming in groups.
Sahara Nepal has conducted this training with the aim of making local farmers self-reliant, contributing to food security, and creating alternative income opportunities.

साहारा नेपाल बझाङ्ग र स्वालोज अफ फिनल्यान्डको सहकार्यमा सञ्चालित खाद्य सुरक्षा सुधार, दिगो जीविकोपार्जन र महिला सशक्तीकरण परियोजनाको आयोजनामा मष्टा गाउँपालिकाका कृषकहरूका लागि च्याउँ खेती प्रविधि सम्बन्धी तालिम सम्पन्न गरिएको छ।

मष्टा गाउँपालिका वडा नं. ३ देखि ७ सम्मका कृषकहरूको सक्रिय सहभागितामा ३ विभिन्न स्थानमा १-१ दिने तालिम सञ्चालन गरिएको थियो। तालिममा च्याउँ खेतीको आधारभूत प्रविधि, बीउ उत्पादन, व्यवस्थापन, रोग तथा किरा नियन्त्रण, र बजार प्रवर्द्धन सम्बन्धी विषयमा प्रशिक्षण प्रदान गरिएको थियो।

तालिमका सहभागी कृषकहरूले च्याउँ खेतीप्रति उत्सुकता व्यक्त गर्दै सिकेका प्रविधिहरूलाई व्यवहारिक रूपमा लागू गर्ने प्रतिबद्धता व्यक्त गरेका छन्। प्रशिक्षणपछि कृषकहरूले समूहगत रूपमा च्याउँ खेती सुरु गर्ने योजनासमेत बनाएका छन्।

साहारा नेपालले यो तालिम स्थानीय कृषकहरूलाई आत्मनिर्भर बनाउने, खाद्य सुरक्षामा योगदान पुर्‍याउने, र वैकल्पिक आयआर्जनको अवसर सिर्जना गर्ने उद्देश्यले सञ्चालन गरेको हो।
