Construction of Plastic Waste Management Pits Completed

With financial support from Swallows of Finland, Sahara Nepal Bajhang has constructed five plastic waste management pits during the current year under the Improved Food Security, Sustainable Livelihood, and Empowerment of Women Project in Masta Rural Municipality, Bajhang.

The plastic waste management pits were constructed across Wards No. 3 to 7 of the municipality. Specifically, the pits were built in Bhinmad and Bhandarigaun of Ward No. 3, Rilu Milan Tole of Ward No. 6, and Thakunna and Lataun of Ward No. 7.

The initiative aims to promote proper management of plastic waste, improve environmental sanitation, and raise community awareness on environmental conservation at the local level. Sahara Nepal Bajhang remains committed to implementing similar activities in the future to support a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment.
