Environmental Conservation Training Conducted in Masta Rural MunicipalityMasta Rural

With financial support from Swallows of Finland, Sahara Nepal Bajhang successfully conducted an Environmental Conservation Training in Masta Rural Municipality as part of the Improved Food Security, Sustainable Livelihood, and Empowerment of Women Project.

The training program was held from 17 to 19 Dec 2025 in Ward No. 4 (Bhatekhola), Ward No. 6 (Rilu), and Ward No. 7 (Thakunna). Participants included members of farmer groups and community forest user groups from Wards 3 to 7, who actively engaged throughout the sessions.

Key topics covered during the training included deforestation, environmental pollution, climate change, waste management, water and energy conservation, tree plantation, and organic farming practices. Practical discussions and interactive sessions enabled participants to better understand the importance of environmental protection.

At the conclusion of the training, participants expressed their commitment to adopting eco-friendly practices in their daily lives and promoting environmental conservation activities at the community level, acknowledging the vital role of such initiatives in achieving local sustainable development.
