Three-Day Capacity Development Training for Small Hotels, Lodges, and Homestays Concludes in Chainpur

A three-day Small Hotels, Lodges, and Homestay Capacity Development Training was successfully concluded in Chainpur, Jayaprithvi Municipality–10, Bajhang, under the Sustainable Tourism Project jointly implemented by the Nepal Tourism Board, UNDP, and Sahara Nepal Bajhang.

The training, held from Mangsir 2 to 4, was inaugurated and officially closed by Mr. Bhanu Bhakta Joshi, Chairperson of Sahara Nepal. The closing ceremony was graced by Mr. Gyan Bahadur Bohara, Chairperson of Masta Rural Municipality, as the Chief Guest.

A total of 27 participants (19 men and 8 women) from Saipal, Talkot, and Chainpur areas participated in the program. The sessions covered key topics including business registration procedures, hotel and homestay management, hospitality services, sanitation and hygiene, and preparation of local cuisine.

The training was facilitated by Mr. Suraj Bastola and Mr. Deepak Bhatta, who shared both theoretical knowledge and practical insights relevant to the hospitality sector.

The program is expected to enhance the capacity of local service providers to deliver sustainable, quality, and tourist-friendly hospitality services, while also contributing to income generation and tourism development along the Saipal Himal trekking route.
