The coordination and collaboration meeting was successfully held among Masta Rural Municipality and district-level stakeholder organizations. The meeting was organized under the project titled “Improved Food Security, Sustainable Livelihoods, and Women Empowerment”, implemented by Sahara Nepal Bajhang with financial support from Swallows of Finland.

The program took place in the meeting hall of Masta Rural Municipality Office under the chairmanship of Rural Municipality Chairperson Gyan Bahadur Bohara. Notable participants included Vice Chairperson Harka Dhami, Ward No. 1 Chairperson Ramchandra Rokaya, Ward No. 4 Chairperson Uttam Raj Joshi, Ward No. 6 Chairperson Shivraj Bohara, along with representatives from various stakeholder organizations.

Similarly, attendees included Chief of the Agriculture Knowledge Center Janak Singh, representative of the Cottage and Small Industries Office Dasharath Japrel, staff member of the Division Forest Office Bajhang Lokendra Rokaya, Acting Chief Administrative Officer of Masta Rural Municipality Dipak Bohara, section heads, employees, and executive members.

During the program, District Coordinator of Sahara Nepal, Umesh Raj Joshi, delivered the welcome remarks, while Field Coordinator Dinesh Rokaya presented a detailed overview of the project.

Speaking at the event, Chief of the Agriculture Knowledge Center, Janak Bahadur Singh, emphasized the need to strengthen food security at the local level by promoting modern agricultural technologies, increasing production, and improving market access. He also expressed the commitment of the Agriculture Knowledge Center to collaborate with the project in providing practical skills and technology transfer to farmers.

Similarly, Chairperson of the program and Masta Rural Municipality Chairperson Gyan Bahadur Bohara highlighted that such projects have been positively contributing to sustainable development, income generation, and women empowerment within the municipality. He stressed the importance of further strengthening coordination and collaboration among stakeholders for effective implementation.

Under this project, various activities related to improving food security, sustainable livelihoods, and women empowerment are being carried out. It was also informed that the project is currently being implemented in Wards No. 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 of Masta Rural Municipality.

The meeting included detailed discussions on the project’s achievements, challenges, and future action plans. Special emphasis was placed on enhancing coordination and collaboration among stakeholders to make the initiatives more effective.
