Health, Sanitation, and Nutrition Orientation Program Successfully Conducted in Masta Rural Municipality
Bajhang, Masta Rural Municipality – From 3rd to 7th May 2026, a comprehensive orientation program on health, sanitation, nutrition, and women empowerment was successfully conducted in Wards No. 3 to 7 of Masta Rural Municipality under the project “Improved Food Security, Sustainable Livelihood, and Empowerment of Women.”
The program was implemented by Sahara Nepal Bajhang with financial support from Swallows of Finland, with the objective of improving community awareness on health, sanitation, nutrition, and women’s empowerment.

The orientation program actively engaged female community health volunteers, women farmers, and local community members from different wards. The sessions were facilitated by local health volunteers who provided practical knowledge on essential health-related topics.

The training covered important issues such as personal hygiene, sanitation practices, balanced nutrition, maternal and child health, disease prevention, and women’s leadership and empowerment. Participants were encouraged to apply the knowledge in their daily lives to improve family health and community well-being.

Local representatives and project staff also attended the program and highlighted the importance of continuing such awareness initiatives in rural communities.
This program is expected to strengthen women’s capacity, improve health and sanitation practices, promote better nutrition, and contribute to sustainable livelihoods in Masta Rural Municipality.
